Our school program provides a full array of transitional services that assist youth in achieving hope, wellness and a healthy future. The educational staff work collaboratively to instill a compassionate approach to effectuate positive change while inspiring each youth to achieve their full potential.
The entire school program is therapeutic in nature, providing a nurturing environment and individualized support.Comprehensive biosocial assessments, trauma screenings, psychiatric evaluation and medication management; and evidenced-based, trauma informed individual, group and family therapy are an integral part of the transitional day school offerings. School employees are trained in various trauma informed models including Risking Connection and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy).
Based on the individual needs identified in the student’s IEP, strength-based, culturally sensitive and trauma informed treatment plans are co-created with the student, his guardian and his treatment team.
Each student participates in weekly individual therapy and family therapy as indicated.
